Activate and manage intercom calls and nameplates

During the onboarding, you were automatically added as a nameplate to the intercom (if allowed by your administrator). You can manage your intercom nameplate, and the related phone numbers behind the contact name for video and audio calls from the intercom.

Add intercom nameplates (activate intercom call)

    1. Open KONE Flow.
    2. Tap Intercom.
    3. Tap CREATE NEW NAMEPLATE....
    4. Enter a nameplate name.
This name is displayed on the intercom.
    5. Select video call recipients using the Add video recipient... buttons.
Select a user from the list to receive intercom video calls.
    6. Alternatively, tap Add audio recipient… to receive audio only intercom calls.
Fill in the country code, the phone number and contact name to receive audio only intercom calls.
Note: The access code for opening the door during an audio call is 00* by default.
    7. If you set both video call and audio call on, you can tick Only when video call is not available.
If a video call cannot be established within 10 seconds, for example, due to internet connectivity problems, the system makes an audio call to your phone instead.
    8. Tap Done.

    Remove intercom nameplates

    1. Open KONE Flow.
    2. Tap Intercom.
    3. Tap the nameplate you want to remove.
    4. Tap Remove nameplate.
    5. Confirm removal.

    Add recipients to existing nameplate

One nameplate can have multiple recipients linked to receive video calls from the intercom.

Note: If you link multiple recipients to the same nameplate, the intercom calls are linked to all recipients at the same time. The first one to answer gets the call.

    1. Open KONE Flow.
    2. Tap Intercom.
    3. Select video call recipients using the Add video recipient… buttons.
Select a user from the list to receive intercom video calls.
    4. Alternatively, tap Add audio recipient... to receive audio only intercom calls.
Fill in the country code, the phone number and a contact name to receive audio only intercom calls.
Note: The access code for opening the door during an audio call is 00* by default.
    5. If you set both video call and audio call on, you can tick Only when video call is not available.
If a video call cannot be established within 10 seconds, for example, due to internet connectivity problems, the system makes an audio call to your phone instead.
    6. Tap Done.
